Objectives of this Role
- Design and build robust full-stack solutions that drive real business value and deliver exceptional user experiences
- Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Continuously optimize applications for performance, scalability, and resilience
- Adopt and promote agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD best practices
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new features, integrations, and internal tools across front-end and back-end systems
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and data-driven applications
- Collaborate with front-end engineers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality software
- Contribute to architectural decisions and provide guidance on engineering best practices
- Review code, mentor junior developers, and help improve team productivity and technical standards
- Work in a collaborative, asynchronous team environment using Slack, GitHub, Notion, and Zoom
Required Skills & Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development
- Strong experience with web frameworks and building scalable APIs (RESTful or GraphQL)
- Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end development principles
- Proficient in at least two of the following: Ruby, Java/JRuby, React, JavaScript, or a similar modern stack
- Comfortable debugging, profiling, and optimizing performance across the stack
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and automated testing frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Heroku, or GCP
- Exposure to DevOps workflows and CI/CD tools
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly
- Professional certifications or open-source contributions
